Louroe Electronics™ is the world leader in the audio security industry, providing first-class audio monitoring and safety solutions that assist in protecting people and property.
They reached out to New Theory, looking for a more modern design as well as a few new features, and Golden Path Solutions executed New Theory’s design.
Product Catalog with WooCommerce
One of the major components of this project was to implement a product catalog with WooCommerce. They didn’t want the full eCommerce capability of WooCommerce, but Woo is a great starting place for any project requiring product management.
Nearest Distributors via Visitor IP
Since this was not intended to be an eCommerce site, we wanted visitors to immediately see where their closest vendors were when they view a product. To that end, we displayed the three nearest distributors based on the visitor’s IP address. Your IP address is always included with each request to view a web page.
We managed this with a little customization, Yellow Tree’s GeoIP Detection plugin, a subscription to Maxmind’s GeoIP, and a database with the geographic locations of Louroe’s distributors.
The distributors at right are the result of visiting the site from our office in Seattle.
